Abstract

|
Among the numerous early models of hinged total knee replacements, the most popularity were probably the guepar knee prosthesis. Although the early the early results with this prosthesis was usually satisfactory, the incidence of severe
complications
and failure was unacceptably high after relatively short-term follow-up periods.
A sixty-three years old woman with osteoarthritis had a Guepar prosthesis inserted in the left knee joint and has been followed more than 10 years with acceptable result.
